It’s pretty safe to say that gummies are widely known and loved throughout the entire world. There are many vegans who crave these sweets, but can’t have them because of ingredients like gelatin, which is an animal product. With this simple, super easy and super vegan gummies recipe, gelatin will seem like a thing of the past.
For this you’ll need:
- 1 cup of pulp-free juice
- 4 tbsp of sugar
- 4 tbsp of cornstarch
- 1 tbsp of tapioca starch
To make this vegan gummies recipe, whisk everything together in a pot until it’s well combined. Bring it to a low heat and whisk continuously until its color and texture look like in the video. Transfer it quickly into a mold of your choice before it sets, then refrigerate for 5 hours. After that, your vegan gummies are ready to enjoy!

How long do they last?
And can they be frozen?
Thank you.
Could you use solely tapioca starch instead of the tapioca and corn? Trying not to do corn
I tried making a tapioca starch chocolate pudding. Looking to turn into gummies. Going to try it now, might be too late?
I made these several times using 100% cherry juice, and I added a packet of Simply Lime to boost the flavor a bit. I spread it thinly on a non-stick baking sheet, then used a cold marble rolling pin to flatten and even it out.
I thought it was pretty soft even after hours in the fridge, so I cut it into 1″ strips and put them on a cooling rack under a ceiling fan to allow better airflow and really dry them out. After 24 hours, they lost the stickiness and took on that chewy texture I love in my gummies.
Note: Be sure to whisk everything together completely before you put it on the heat, I had “interesting” little white pellets that formed when I boiled the juice before adding the dry ingredients.
Nice! Thanks for sharing your tips 😉
I do this recipe with tart cherry juice and a packet of True Lime powder (you can omit this if you prefer it sweeter). But instead of trying to fight with molds, I spread it thinly on a non-stick cookie sheet and cut it into strips when it’s firm.
Cool.. I’ll try that way one day 🙂
