“We started chatting on Veggly in 2021 when the borders were still closed between the US and Canada. We very quickly started falling for each other, and built an extremely strong bond for the next four months until we could meet in person.”
“After John came to Canada and met Nayeli’s family, we started a relationship, and got engaged exactly a year later. We had a small elopement in March 2023 and were wed by Nayeli’s father. We promised to love each other forever in front of the Awosting Falls, with only parents and siblings present. It was the most spiritually profound day we’ve ever experienced, and it was perfect in every way.”
“Shortly after, we moved to NYC, and are now planning our “big wedding” taking place in Canada this September. We love hiking, kayaking, being involved in our community, and playing way too much Mario Kart. Our relationship is more beautiful than anything we ever thought would be possible to find, and we truly have married the best friend we’ve ever had.”
